Day trip around the island of Koh Samui

Lunch at Bang Por first

Lunch at Bang Por

Our driver bought some Jack Fruit from a hardware store on the side of the road

Typical jungle scenery

At the elephant park. Cute baby elephant. Wouldn't keep still

Yet another shrine

The monkeys are trained to climb the trees to get the coconuts down

A great candidate for doing the dishes and /or housework. Or any multi-tasking for that matter.

Oh look.. its another temple

And another.. at least this guy is well fed

And yet another.

You guessed it.. another temple. This one was the Big Buddha. And yes, it was big. Strangely, this one was unfinished. It was possible to sponsor the bricks that were going into finishing it off.

Bang Por

This is where we ate on the first night. We later found out from our resort manager that this is the best place to eat. Good choosing once again by Mr Rumble!

Bang Por Beach

Anthong National park, Thailand

After a stop for some snorkelling our boat went on to the island with a lagoon high up in a crater. The walk up was steep...
Seems to be a bit of a theme for our Koh Samui break.

 The "short cut"

The view was worth the hike.

The tour guides were very keen to help and climbed the gazebo to get this great shot for us.

This very green lagoon was very high up in the centre of the island. It is salt water.

One of the slow boats. When choosing a boat, either high speed or one of these slow ones, look carefully at the weather for the day. A fast boat is great on a calm day but slams around a lot on choppy surf. The slow boats don't get anywhere near as much time at each location.

Some wonderful sights in the Anthong National Park, Thailand. This one is called Monkey Island, probably because of the side-on view of a... monkey.

After some kayaking around one of the small islands. This was the last activity of the day before the hour and a half return journey. Lunch was had earlier in the gazebos just visible behind. Nothing was rushed, making for a very pleasant day.

Infinity Resort Koh Samui

First impressions, the view from the open reception.

Looking down the hill from the road between facilities.

 View from our balcony.

 The very well used pool.

We found a star fish..

Access to our room was along this road.

 Near the Public pool.

The main pool. we came up here to get a proper infinity photo.

Chloe shows off one of her very cheap market bargains in front of the top pool.

The view from the top pool overlooking the restaurant.

 The top pool again.

Cooking class one lunchtime. Sophie carefully slices the chicken.

Chloe's turn to be Masterchef.

The great culinary masterpiece; Pepper chicken.

A Green Curry, left, was also on the menu. you can;t tell by looking, but with some help we made a delicious meal! The Banana sweet Coconut dessert tasted way better than it looked, hence the lack of a photo.

Fresh fruit smoothies were very popular.
